Best Time for Trying to Get Pregnant

A recent visitor to CrazyPregnancy.com writes: “The first of my period was on the 2 April 2008 and my cycle is 24 days. i had sex today on the 21 April 2008 and would like to know whats my chances of getting pregnant and when was the best time for trying a baby.  Mari.”

Thanks for the question, Mari!  According to our Fertility/Ovulation Calculator, your ovulation date was April 12 so your most fertile days would have been April 9 through April 14.

Of course, many women have become pregnant on days outside the “most fertile week,” and sperm can live for several days, during which period it may come in contact with an egg and penetrate it.  However, in general, April 9 through the 14th would have been your most fertile time with the highest probability for becoming pregnant.
